heart Imagine's Teacher Appreciation week will be May 7th - 11th this year.

yes We're READY to GROW!

For the last two years our board and staff have been meeting and planning for a campus expansion.
We are happy to announce construction starts this week! WOW! How awesome is that?

What are we building? ISLOL is adding approximately 13,000 square feet of space in the back of the campus, behind the gym. The plan is a two story building which hosts an open cafe/lunchroom, storage and teacher resource room on the bottom floor and six classrooms on the 2nd story. While we have hopes of opening two additional Kinder classrooms in the future, we are not planning to fill the building with students year one nor do we desire to be a school of 1000 at this point. We need more space now to better serve our students now.

What's happening? The team is securing the back of the building and setting up construction barriers (fencing and barriers) so the kids are not impacted by the work. The crew will set up staging areas in the bus loop which will include a place to park their vehicles and equipment. We do not forsee workers being in the buidling during the school day. Anyone that does enter the building will be security scanned and badged.

How does this impact campus routines? We will go about our normal routine. The only changes are to our bus pick up and drop off. Our buses as well as those daycare buses, will be entering through the main gates in the morning and pulling up by the field to meet staff. We will unload and load in the same area. The drivers and staff have been practicing this week. Safety Patrol can still get dropped off at the side doors and bike riders as well. Bike racks will be moved up closer to the doors. We ask that Bradstreet parents and those who pick up from afterschool activities please not park in the front of the building, but park in parking spaces and walk up. The buses will be returning between 4:30-5:30pm and will be pulling through the front of the school.

What's the timeline? The builder is telling us we will be ready to go when students return in August. As far as we know, there are no other major impacts on campus. The work on the interior will be done after the school year ends. We will keep you posted as we progress with pictures and updates.

Please know safety and routine are our major goals. The crew we are working with understands the school environment and want the kids to be kept as far from the workspace as possible. We hope you join us in celebrating the growth of ISLOL!
